In this new segment on AtMayfair Diaries, we feature founders, designers and artists who have helped shape cult fashion brands. Taking only five minutes with these visionaries, we ask them about their design inspiration, their favourite bloggers and how they like to unwind.
For our first feature, we profiled iconic shoe brand Guava’s CEO and Creative Director, Ines Caleiro. She brings out ‘geometric seduction’ in each of her designs and loves to swim, when she is not creating these works of art.
Excerpts from the interview:
Q: Tell us a little about your brand – Guava
A: Guava is a shoe geometric brand, driven by its passion for architectonic shapes inspired by asymmetries and the emotion of vibrant colours. Each piece is handmade by dedicated Portuguese artisans; artisans who apply their refined skills and experience to create the most delicate elements, which become part of the quality and perfection of every shoe. Guava identity is focused on the geometric heels, and there is where we bring our ‘geometric seduction’.
Q: What do you think about a platform like AtMayfair, which aims to bring luxury lifestyle at your fingertips?
A: The advancement of technology combined with Fashion and Luxury is truly an advantage for our fast growing society.
Q: What is one item of accessory that takes you from AM to PM?
A: A nice piece of jewelry.

A: Phone, keys, notebook and a red lipstick.

Q: How do you unplug from work?
A: I love to swim and cook. I usually go for a swim by the end of the afternoon. And also love to prepare a comfy nice meal with friends.
